Banja Luka is the name of Memmingen Airport's newest Eastern European destination. From October 30th, the airline Ryanair will connect the city in Bosnia Herzegovina with Bavaria's third commercial airport.

Banja Luka in the north of Bosnia and Herzegovina has around 185,000 inhabitants and is the seat of the government of the Republika Srpska. As the second largest city in the country, it has developed in recent years into the center of one of the strongest economic regions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“This goal makes our European route network even more dense and makes it even more attractive,” explains Airport Sales Manager Marcel Schütz. With Tuzla in the northeast, Memmingen Airport has now had a second destination in Bosnia and Herzegovina. There have been flights to Banja Luka since 2018, always on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Banja Luka is the fifth new destination that Ryanair will add to its flight schedule from Memmingen next winter. The same goes for Marrakech, B Edinburgh and Lviv.
